The Bereavement Support Group provides a Roman Catholic, faith-based community of support and care to adults after death has occurred. The mission of the Bereavement Apostolate is to be present for the bereaved when they need it, at the time they need it.

The Bereavement Apostolate is in need of volunteers. Online Companioning Training developed by the Archdiocese of Atlanta is available for volunteers in the Apostolate. Our mission is to be present for the bereaved when they need it, at the time they need it. If you are interested in volunteering please contact Dorothy McEwan at [email protected].
If you are interested in attending the next session or would like to talk, or would like to reach out to have someone pray with you for your loved one, please contact Dorothy McEwan at [email protected] or Mary Jo Van Horne at [email protected]. Please take our Season of Hope Brochure, available in the Narthex, for information about our adult Group Sessions.

Threads of Love is an International Organization with several chapters in the South Eastern United States. Our local chapter was started about 12 years ago by Marge Hoffmann. The members are from various faiths and we come together to make preemie items for Wake Med. Anyone who would like to cut out patterns, sew, knit, crochet, quilt, make preemie gowns, blankets and huggables are welcome. Meetings are scheduled the second Wednesday of every month from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM. Our location varies. We invite you to a gown cutting session. The fabric is provided; just bring a good pair of scissors. If you cannot attend a meeting but would like to work from home, give us a call. Charlotte Montillo, 919-556-9004
