*Year I: Open to youth in High School. Parents must bring their child's baptismal certificate to the registration meeting in order to attend. If you do not bring this certificate, you will be asked to come back for a different parent meeting when you have it.
**Year II: Parents must bring their child's signed sponsor form to the registration meeting in order to attend. If you do not bring this, you will be asked to come back for a different parent meeting when you have it.
Families will only be able to register for Confirmation after they attend an in-person meeting with a parent and the child who is seeking Confirmation. At this meeting, all candidates will be asked to take a short assessment to evaluate their current knowledge of the faith, while parents learn more about the program. The dates and times for these meetings can be found on this page. Families may pick any meeting. No RSVP is required.
We are making this change to ensure that our candidates are in the best position possible to benefit from their Confirmation classes. After the assessment, it might be determined that a candidate needs a little more support before entering or continuing in the Confirmation program. In this case, the candidate will take a special "Refresher" class to familiarize themselves with the basic prayers and practices of our faith before they enter their new Confirmation class. The "Refresher" class will take one full academic year, which means Confirmation will be delayed for students who take this class. After the "Refresher" class, the normal Confirmation classes must still be completed.
Students who pass their assessment do NOT have to take the "Refresher" class. A passing score is 100% since the questions represent the basic prayers and information all Catholics should know by high school.

REMEMBER:
*Year I: Parent's must bring their child's baptismal certificate to the meeting in order to attend.
**Year II: Parent's must bring their child's signed sponsor form to the meeting in order to attend.
Note: If you were baptized at St. Catherine's, we will accept the month and year that your child was baptized in lieu of a certificate. If you no longer have your child's baptismal certificate (from another parish), you can request a new one from that parish.
