Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls."
Our parish history began in 1910 with the arrival of the first Catholic family to Wake Forest. During these early years masses were celebrated by visiting Priests in homes, rail cars and travel trailers. The first regular weekly Catholic Mass started in 1934 followed by the dedication of our first church in 1940. Read the full parish history in the About section.
With the rapid growth of the Triangle in the past few decades our parish has grown accordingly. Today there are almost 4,000 families registered. Even so, we strive to maintain our early mission roots and encourage all in the parish and community to learn more about the richness of our Catholic faith. We invite you to learn more about our parish and the many opportunities to grow in love of the Our Lord and to find rest in Him.
In addition to the Sunday liturgies, there are many opportunities for prayer and worship each week. Daily Mass is celebrated each morning Monday through Friday at 8:30AM. The Blessed Sacrament is exposed perpetually in the adoration chapel.
At the center of our Parish is a great love for the Eucharist. We are blessed to have Perpetual Adoration since 2008. The perpetual adoration chapel is named Jesus, Eternal High Priest and is dedicated to bringing forth vocations to the Priesthood. Our committed adorers will all tell you what a great blessing it is to spend an hour a week in front of the Blessed Sacrament.
There are a number of apostolates who gather together for communal prayer and provide support and fellowship. More information can be found in the bulletin and under the ministry section of the website.
If it's been a while, or this is your first visit, we encourage you to read more about the sacraments of the Church in the Prayer & Worship section.
Faith formation, or education in our Catholic faith, or very important in our mission to nurture disciples. Regular classes are held throughout the school year for students in elementary, middle and high school. We also host various classes and events for adults to expand their knowledge of the faith. Our Catholic School is dedicated to the loving formation of the whole child from preschool through 8th grade. Visit the school website and Facebook page to learn more.
Our pastor, Fr. Jeffrey Bowker, oversees the spiritual and temporal needs of the parish. We are currently blessed to have Fr. Basile Sede, Parochial Vicar, Fr. Agustin Alonso Sigaran Donis, Rev. Mr. Brad Watkins, permanent deacon, and Rev. Ramon Ferrer, permanent deacon assisting Fr. Jeffrey Bowker. In addition, the pastor relies on the consultative guidance of the Parish Pastoral Council and Parish Finance Council in making important decisions in the life of the parish.
